Amanchu!
The Con Artists: Rolling Review #5
Summer 2016
The intro music is: "Million Clouds" by Maaya Sakamoto
The outro music is: "Futari Shoujo" by Tekopikari (Ai Kayano & Eri Suzuki)
Amanchu! is WHOOP about 2 girls who end up in the WHOOP WHOOP diving club together. Futaba is super shy and diving helps her WHOOP WHOOP come out of her shell. Hikari WHOOP RADIATES LIKE THE SUN. The twins WHOOP WHOOP are a joke that served only to make all of us very angry (female violence towards men is not funny Japan..), and the teacher should be WHOOOOOP arrested for letting it happen. At least it looked pretty. Did you find that "WHOOP"ing to be annoying?! So did we! I'm going to turn into a Muppet now!

Concrete Revolutio: The Last Song
The Con Artists: Rolling Review #4
Spring 2016
The intro music is: CR:TLS OP: "Warireru Dōkoku" by ZAQ
The outro music is: CR:TLS ED: "ALL-WAYS" by Yohske Yamamoto feat. Nami Tamaki
The second season of Concrete Revolutio. Still interesting, still a cool concept, still very colorful… but it didn’t quite measure up to the first season. Despite some very powerful individual episodes (the Vietnam episode sticks in the mind) the overall narrative was kind of fragmented. Plus the ending wasn’t that strong, which hurts.

Active Raid
The Con Artists: Rolling Review #3
Winter 2015/2016
The intro music is: AR OP: "Golden Life" by AKINO with bless4
The outro music is: AR ED: "Tōmei na Yozora" by Yuka Aisaka
In the future – POWERSUIT CRIME! Facing it down? The dull, uninteresting POWERSUIT POLICE. YAWN… As the plot meanders along. STARE… At some pretty uninspired art and characters. PUZZLE… over how this show ever got a second season. It’s Active Raid, and it’s aggressively mediocre.
We want our time back.

Concrete Revolutio
The Con Artists: Rolling Review #2
Fall 2015
The intro music is: CR OP: "Katararezu Tomo" by ZAQ
The outro music is: CR ED: "The Beginning" by Yohsuke Yamamoto
An alternate history version of the 20th century, if every powerful pop-culture phenomenon happened at once. Giant robots, time travelers, ESPers, magical girls, and more are all over the place. Our heroes have to keep the peace, a task that’s even more complicated that it sounds. Add in a very colorful palette and the show is quite a trip.

Heroic Legend of Arslan
The Con Artists: Rolling Review #1
Spring/Summer 2015
The intro music is: HLoA OP: "Boku no Kotoba de wa Nai, Kore wa Bokutachi no Kotoba" by UVERworld
The outro music is: HLoA ED: "Lapis Lazuli" by Eir Aoi
The Heroic Legend of Narsus is a tale of some guy named Arslan and his spear wielding guardian, wherein neither of them matter once Narsus comes along. Afterwards the show focuses on Narsus solving all the group's problems using his borderline psychic powers. Also the priestess can deflect arrows with her divine protection. But only sometimes. Indian armies riding elephants are cool. This show is brought to you by the Spin Doctors: Two Princes, that's what I said now.
Sorrynotsorry

The Con Artists have their final discussion of the Spring! It's Spring 2019: Koto Killed my Grandpa
Su watched way too many shows! Brendan learns how to make friends with his whole middle school class, while Scott learns how to communicate with people solely though haiku. Dan's punching all the baddies (only once) and winning everything, except his mixed martial arts tournament.
Most importantly...Su now knows what's in the basement, and is in love with Carol and Tuesday.
Fruits Basket is also the source of temporal distortion. Warning: You may experience extreme shoujo!
The Shows covered in this Podcast are: Carol and Tuesday, Hitori Bocci ... Seikatsu, Attack on Titan: S3 Pt2, Senryuu Girl, Hachigatsu no Cinderalla Nine, One Punch Man S2, Fairy Gone, Rising of the Shield Hero, The Helpful Fox Senko-san, Kono Oto Tomare, Fruits Basket 2019 - S1

The Con Artists have their final discussion of the Winter! It's Winter 2019: Judgement Day
Scott has overloaded his schedule with anime this season, but not everything's a winner. Su judges him harshly for his poor choices. Meanwhile, Brendan spins a good story about sentient leaf girls and Dan gets an anime housecat roommate to match his real one. Then it's Su's turn to be judged about the Fair Market Price of Smiles... until it turns out Scott watched that too.
Come judge us yourselves or see if there's anything here to be salvaged (spoilers: there totally is).
The Shows covered in this Podcast are: That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime, Dororo, Shinkegki no Bahamut: Manaria Friends, The Rising of the Shield Hero, Kemurikusa, Mob Psycho 100 II, My Roommate is a Cat, Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka, The Cost of Smiles, and Endro!
